(QUEENS, NY) February 21, 2024 —Today, the Queens Chamber of Commerce, the oldest and largest business association in Queens, joined government officials, and business and community leaders at the grand opening of Maxi’s Noodle’s second location. The highly anticipated celebration featured a ribbon cutting at the noodle shop, located at 59-20 Main Street (at 60th Avenue) in Flushing.

NEW YORK, NY (February 9, 2024) – Today, the NYC Small Business Resource Network (SBRN) announced that Wells Fargo has provided funding that will help 500 small businesses across New York City get online and grow their business. The $500,000 grant will support the SBRN’s Open + Online initiative, a free resource to help business owners establish or improve their digital presence, with a focus on minority and women-owned enterprises (MWBE). Interested businesses can apply to participate at openandonline.smallbiz.nyc.

QUEENS, NY (February 9, 2024) - It is settled. Today, in honor of National Bagel and Lox Day, Middle Village Bagels was declared the winner of the inaugural Queens’ Best Bagel Competition, held by the Queens Chamber of Commerce, the oldest and largest business association in Queens. Over the past several weeks, foodies nominated and voted on their favorite bagel establishments from across the borough, with the Middle Village eatery emerging as the winner.

Members of the public are encouraged to vote for their favorite eatery from among 55 nominated establishments to settle the debate over who in Queens serves up the best bagel.

Today, two Queens small businesses were honored by the Five Chamber Alliance and TD Bank at a ceremony recognizing outstanding Minority and Women Owned-Business Leaders. Elena Barcenes, owner of Rincon Salvadoreno, and Sarah-Beth White, owner of The Broadway Silk Store, each received a Five Borough MWBE Award from the five boroughwide chambers of commerce for their contributions to New York City’s small business community.

Today, the Queens Chamber of Commerce, the oldest and largest business association in Queens, announced the launch of Restaurant311, a deep-dive accelerator program to provide specialized support to Queens restaurant and food business owners and operators. Under the program, small business owners will receive one-on-one business advising, coaching, and access to opportunities for business and tech support. Empire State Development will fund the program through a grant from the New York State Senate.

(QUEENS, NY) October 13, 2023 - Last night, the Queens Chamber of Commerce honored 12 outstanding construction projects at its 2023 Building Awards Gala at Terrace on the Park. The evening celebrated excellence in the construction and design of building projects in Queens. The evening featured a keynote speech by Suzette Noble, Chief Executive Officer of LaGuardia Gateway Partners, and the presentation of the Distinguished Service Award to Raymond Irrera for his 70 years of dedication and service to the Chamber.
