The Queens Chamber of Commerce, the oldest and largest business association in Queens, will hold the inaugural Queens’ Best Barbeque Competition throughout August and September. Members of the public are encouraged to nominate and vote for their favorite eatery, to settle the debate over who in Queens serves up the best barbeque in the borough. Traditional barbeque, Korean-style, Asado-style, Churrasco-style, and all other types of barbeque are all eligible for nomination. “Restaurants across Queens consistently serve up some of the most iconic foods from a variety of cultures and countries, and our barbeque establishments are no different. From traditional style barbeque to Korean and other types, we have access to a multitude of cuisines to satisfy all kinds of palates,” said Tom Grech, President and CEO of the Queens Chamber of Commerce. “I look forward to visiting the winning restaurant, and trying some of their delicious offerings.” The Chamber is accepting nominations from the public at bit.ly/QueensBestBBQ. Nominations open on Monday, August 7 and will close on Wednesday, August 23. Public voting will start on Monday, August 28 and run through Friday, September 8. The winner will be crowned with the title of Queens’ Best Barbeque on Wednesday, September 13. The winning eatery will receive bragging rights, along with a complimentary membership to the Queens Chamber of Commerce. Press release available for download, below.
