VOTING OPENS FOR QUEENS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE INAUGURAL QUEENS’ BEST BAKERY COMPETITION

The Queens Chamber of Commerce, the oldest and largest business association in the borough, is now accepting votes for its Queens’ Best Bakery Competition. Members of the public are encouraged to vote for their favorite establishments serving up the best cakes, cookies, cannoli, and more from among 22 nominated establishments at https://bit.ly/QueensBestBakeryVote through Thursday, July 10.
 
“As voting kicks off, we’re calling on everyone in Queens to support their favorite local bakery,” said Tom Grech, President and CEO of the Queens Chamber of Commerce. “These businesses are the heart of our neighborhoods, and this is a chance to give them the recognition they deserve. Whether you're a fan of classic Italian pastries or inventive new treats, cast your vote and help us crown the borough’s best.”

Nominations for the contest were collected over the course of several weeks and include the following businesses:

• El Cafetal Bakery (Jamaica Avenue, Jamaica)
• El Molino Bakery (Jamaica Avenue, Woodhaven)
• The French Workshop (Bell Boulevard, Bayside)
• Heritage Bread Pudding (Various Pop-up Locations, Long Island City)
• Jhoanes Bakery & Coffee (Broadway, Astoria)
• Joe's Sicilian Bakery (48th Avenue, Bayside)
• Kora (Greenpoint Avenue, Sunnyside)
• La Antioqueña Bakery (Corona Avenue, Corona)
• La Guli Pastry Shop (Ditmars Avenue, Astoria)
• Lefkos Pyrgos Cafe (Ditmars Boulevard, Astoria)
• Lety's Bakery (37th Avenue, Jackson Heights)
• Martha's Country Bakery (Ditmars Boulevard, Astoria)
• Multisweet LIC (22nd Street, Long Island City)
• NYCakes Boutique (39th Avenue, Long Island City)
• Pan Ugo Bakery (Jamaica Avenue, Woodhaven)
• Parva Bakeshop & Cafe (Northern Boulevard, Jackson Heights)
• Rockaway Beach Bakery (Rockaway Beach Boulevard, Rockaway)

The winner will be crowned with the title of Queens’ Best Bakery at an event on Wednesday, July 16. The winning establishment will receive bragging rights, along with a complimentary membership to the Queens Chamber of Commerce. The second and third place winners will receive certificates.
 
This is the eleventh “Best of Queens” food competition. Prior contests settled debates over the borough’s best pizza, burgers, halal, empanadas, barbecue, tacos, frozen desserts, bagels, pad thai, and tavern.
