VOTING OPENS FOR QUEENS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE INAUGURAL QUEENS’ BEST BAR COMPETITION

The Queens Chamber of Commerce, the oldest and largest business association in the borough, is now accepting votes for its Queens’ Best Bar Competition. Members of the public are encouraged to vote for their favorite watering hole in the borough from among a record-breaking 46 nominated establishments at https://bit.ly/QueensBestBarVote through Thursday, March 20.
 
"Our inaugural 'Queens’ Best Bar' competition is an exciting way to celebrate the borough’s incredible bars, lounges, and other nightlife," said Tom Grech, President and CEO of the Queens Chamber of Commerce. "With voting now open, we encourage everyone to support their favorite local spot by casting a vote. This is a fantastic opportunity to highlight the diverse and vibrant establishments that make Queens a great place to eat, drink, and gather with friends.”

Nominations for the contest were collected over the course of several weeks and include the following businesses:

  • Belo Bar & Grill (Skillman Avenue, Sunnyside)

  • Cassidy's Ale House (31st Avenue, East Elmhurst)
  • Celtic Gasthaus (Myrtle Avenue, Glendale)

  • The Lowery Bar and Kitchen (43rd Avenue, Sunnyside)
  • The Station Bar (61st Street, Woodside)
  • The Village Green (150th Street, Whitestone)
  • Tropix Bar & Lounge (Queens Boulevard, Rego Park)
  • Walsh’s Pub (Fresh Pond Road, Ridgewood)
The winner will be crowned with the title of Queens’ Best Bar at an event on Wednesday, March 26. The winning establishment will receive bragging rights, along with a complimentary membership to the Queens Chamber of Commerce. The second and third place winners will receive certificates.
 
This marks the tenth “Best of Queens” food competition and the largest in terms of number of nominees. Previous contests have decided the borough’s best pizza, burgers, halal, empanadas, barbecue, tacos, frozen desserts, bagels, and pad thai.
