Today, the Queens Chamber of Commerce, the oldest and largest business association in Queens, announced the launch of Restaurant311, a deep-dive accelerator program to provide specialized support to Queens restaurant and food business owners and operators. Under the program, small business owners will receive one-on-one business advising, coaching, and access to opportunities for business and tech support. Empire State Development will fund the program through a grant from the New York State Senate.

On the evening of Wednesday, December 6, hundreds of business, government and community leaders from throughout Queens gathered at Terrace on the Park in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park for the Queens Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business Persons of the Year Awards Dinner. The evening recognized Kevin O’Toole, Chairman of Board of Commissioners, The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey; Jen Hensley, Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs, Con Edison; Hon. Peter Vallone, Sr., Former Speaker and Democratic Majority Leader, New York City Council; Eden G. Egziabher, Founder and Owner, Makina Cafe; Jennifer Walden Weprin, Executive Director, Queens County Farm; and Jackie Donado, Vice President, Strategic Programs, Queens Chamber of Commerce.

The guide features 220 must-go eateries – from neighborhood mainstays beloved by locals to some of the top reviewed restaurants in the world – curated by Laura Licona, Executive Chef and head of Food and Culture at the Queens Chamber of Commerce. There are amazing dining experiences to be found in every neighborhood in the borough, with a diverse selection of cuisines representing countries from across the globe.

(QUEENS, NY) October 13, 2023 - Last night, the Queens Chamber of Commerce honored 12 outstanding construction projects at its 2023 Building Awards Gala at Terrace on the Park. The evening celebrated excellence in the construction and design of building projects in Queens. The evening featured a keynote speech by Suzette Noble, Chief Executive Officer of LaGuardia Gateway Partners, and the presentation of the Distinguished Service Award to Raymond Irrera for his 70 years of dedication and service to the Chamber.

The Queens Chamber of Commerce, the oldest and largest business association in Queens, will hold the inaugural Queens’ Best Taco Competition throughout October and November. Members of the public are encouraged to nominate and vote for their favorite eatery, to settle the debate over who in Queens serves up the best taco in the borough. The debate is settled. Smoke & Barrel is the winner of the inaugural Queens’ Best Barbecue Competition, held by the Queens Chamber of Commerce, the oldest and largest business association in Queens. Over the past several weeks, foodies nominated and voted on their favorite barbecue joints in the borough, with the Far Rockaway eatery emerging as the winner.

The Queens Chamber of Commerce, the oldest and largest business association in the borough, is now accepting votes for its Queens’ Best Barbeque Competition. Members of the public are encouraged to vote for their favorite eatery from among 19 nominated establishments to settle the debate over who in Queens serves up the best barbeque in the borough. The nominated restaurants include traditional barbeque joints, as well as Brazilian-style barbeque, Filipino barbeque, and others.

Yesterday, thousands gathered for a night of fireworks, food and family fun as New York City Council Member Vickie Paladino, the Queens Chamber of Commerce, and the Bayside Historical Society celebrated the Annual Independence Day Fireworks Show and Concert at Fort Totten. Fireworks for this year’s celebration were provided by “Fireworks by Grucci”. The event included fun activities for kids, food trucks and musical performances by Chicken Head Rocks, Phil Costa and the Something Special Big Band, the 380th Army Band and DJ Russell Targove.
