Explore how organic farming contributes to plant health, how our digestive health thrives on plants, and meet others on the plant-based path! Join Plant Powered Metro New York for a casual, potluck at Manor Farm in Huntington, Long Island. You'll get to know organic farmer Joe Lapiana and learn the history behind the farm. Joe has been practicing natural ways of growing food for 12 years and continually evolves his techniques for composting, water purification, and building healthy soil. Then, naturopath Dawn Siglain, ND, LAc will share how a fiber-filled plant-based lifestyle builds a healthy gut microbiome.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a dish to share. Please prepare dishes featuring whole plant food ingredients only that minimize or eliminate added oils, salt, and sugar.

Admission: $10 donation to Manor Farm.
